Jinkies, Twinkies!!!

W's approval rating is in the toilet. His foreign policy may be re-igniting the Cold War. Tony Blair -- his closest ally in this fiasco -- has apologetically handed in his resignation.

Despite last week's veto, Democrats keep demanding he set a timeline for withdrawal from Iraq. Over half of Iraq's Parliament has voted for the US -- their "liberators" -- to end the occupation and withdraw from Iraq. Now a coalition of Republican members of Congress has met with W in the White House to tell him that it is really time to end this occupation, NOW.

And what does W do?

He calls for an additional 35,000 troops to be deployed by September.

Will someone please explain to me why we are letting a sociopathic fascist dictator run this country?

The only honorable course for W, is to hand in his resignation and retire to his ranch. He's stolen plenty of money for Halliburton, et. al., so he should be able to retire in comfort.

Until he's extradited to the Hague and tried for war crimes.

He must have read your commentary, and as of today, he is willing to go along with guide lines to get the money for the war.

The Mystery Of Dubya...SOLVED!

Narcissistic Personality Disorder:

"People who are overly narcissistic commonly feel rejected, humiliated and threatened when criticised. To protect themselves from these dangers, they often react with disdain, rage, and/or defiance to any slight, real or imagined...The interpersonal relationships of patients with NPD are typically impaired due to the individual's lack of empathy, disregard for others, exploitativeness, sense of entitlement, and constant need for attention."

Poor George. He's just sick, that's all. One sick, messed up dude. Now, watch this drive...

First there was Dr. Phil, Now comes Dr. Joe. And what day, time and channel do we tune in to see your show.
Have to agree there is definetly something wrong there.

I get a show? All right! You know what...I've never watched a Dr. Phil show. I've seen him on advertisements and heard him mentioned all over the place, but apparently I've got a big hole there in my pop culture knowledge. Am I missing anything by not tuning in?

I figured W to be suffering from some Cluster B personality disorder. I think you nailed it Joe; he's a narcissist. I'm diagnosing Cheney with antisocial personality disorder.

Here's my impression of Dr. Phil: (To a scarred woman incapable of functioning as an adult because of years of abuse.) "You're like a sneaker without laces, you're flopping all around. You need to bring it together." Not all bad, but he oversimplifies and doesn't seem to know when he's in over his head. So no, you aren't missing ANYTHING.

Oh and good point Pelmo, W will say anything to get the money. (I caught that on the news later. Thanks.)

Blair was not apologetic as he resigned, you are so wrong! He was almost triumphalist. Read the BBC website. It's a carefully stage-managed exit, with as much kudos as he can muster given that since Iraq, the nation spells his name BLIAR. He is a proud Christian, and like Bush, feels that GOD told him to start the wars, drop the bombs and generally mess people up in other countries.

Deek, My apologies. I just read the entire BBC transcript and I would agree that he sounded "triumphalist".

The only part I heard broadcast was the closing:
It has been an honour to serve it. I give my thanks to you, the British people, for the times I have succeeded, and my apologies to you for the times I have fallen short. Good luck.

I was wrong. I was probably hoodwinked by the word "apologies". W can't even spell the word, much less say it and so I was fooled. Unfortunately, the inability to say "I'm sorry, I was wrong" is becoming part of the American fiber. It's disheartening.

I hate being fooled, so thank you for bringing it to my attention.

To LPC, if you visit again, just one big question. Does the last Parisian Cowboy wear a regular cowboy hat, or is it a beret.
Did like your commentary on Starbucks.
