"Mala Porque Tienes Boca."

A few years ago I read The Law of Love by Laura Esquivel. The book contained a CD. Between chapters you might be asked to turn on the CD to enjoy an Interlude for Dancing. In theory, this is a great approach to a novel.
(Laura also wrote Como Agua Para Chocolate and adapted the screenplay. Alfonso Arau -- her husband -- directed the movie, which, among other things, contains my favorite quickie sex scene. But I digress.)

On the CD were several songs written and performed by an artist named Liliana Felipe. They are all very good and one of them became my personal theme song. Liliana's style is kind of danzón, kind of cabaret, very emotive and theatrical and her lyrics are twisted and sexy. She reminds me a little bit of Diamanda Galas -- if Diamanda had a sense of humor and liked to dance.

(So I was wandering around doing horrible chores and singing Mala to myself, when it occurred to me that a fantastic way to procrastinate would be to look up ALL of Liliana's stuff on the internet.)

Anyway...all of that procrastinating via pseudoresearch has caused me to fall madly in love with Liliana Felipe. I'm going to stop by Reckless on my way home and see if they have El Habito, which includes Mala AND Sirena Con Patas AND Sirena Con Patas II. I am so excited!!!

your choice of reading material leaves you with more questions then answers. May I suggest a diffrent theme and authors. Since you seem to enjoy erotica in your choice of literature a fine choice would be Jack and Jill. You may let your mind wander as to why they came tumbling down the hill. Besides the large print and pictures, makes for an easy read.

And since we are on the subject of books. Don't you think the cover is a bit risque, even tho it is a spanish cook book.

Re-read the post. It's a CD cover. I think Liliana is one of those sex-positive lesbians, hence the corset.

Nothing wrong with a spanish lesbian cook book on a CD
