Something is very wrong with me. My insides taste like the aftermath of a house fire. I was running a fever, but now I'm just clammy -- my shirt sticks to my back whenever I enter an air-conditioned room. It makes me feel faint.

When I'm not in the AC, I feel dizzy but not faint and I may be warm but I'm not clammy. I dragged my ass into work today but I'm beginning to regret it. I'm wondering how I'm going to manage the walk back to my car with my jelly knees.

Yes, I am trying to make an appointment with the damned doctor, but I suspect that will be a useless endeavor -- their switchboard is jammed with a high volume of calls. I'll probably be able to get an appointment by Wednesday, at which point I will have sweated and herbed whatever this is out of my system.

By the way, isn't that precisely the arguement everyone had against socialized medicine here? Or am I just feverish?

I think you have yellow fever or maybe orange fever. Its a colored fever of some sort for sure.

Sorry to hear you are sick. But, on the bright side, your blog seems to remain healthy. Get well soon!

It's your consumption of that food that will be the downfall of America that is making you sick.

JT -- I think you could be on to something ... perhaps, it's the violent violet fever.

MC -- Nice to hear from you and thanks for the glad tidings.

Pelmo -- Everyone knows that the downfall of civilization is air conditioning and that is what's messing with me.

The air is also messing with Mr. Giles. He's been sneezing for days. Dog sneezes are weird.

Feel better.

Kill that virus by pumping copious quantities of Absolut Citron rocks down your gullet.

Works for me!
