The Weakness In the Death Star

It's not impossible. I used to bullseye womp rats in my T-16 back home, They're not much bigger than two meters.

(The portrait of Darth Cheney was created by Jason Gluskin. Visit his site.)

Finally, a couple of Democrats are growing spines and actually challenging the Bush Regime. Despite almost no press coverage and several conflicting reports, it seems that Congressman Dennis Kucinich has filed the Articles of Impeachment against Dick Cheney. This is long overdue. The Rosenbergs did not commit as many treasonous acts as Cheney -- and they got the electric chair. I don't believe in the death penalty, but I do think he should go fight in Iraq alongside every other member of the Board of Directors of Halliburton (headquartered in Dubai, UAE), everyone in the Bush family and every fundamentalist "Christian" who supports this bloody mess of a holy oil war. Here is the surge you requested, Mr. W. -- enjoy your indefinite vacation in Bahgdad.
Aaahhhh .... the most refreshing words of the year, so far: From Synopsis of Articles of Impeachment Against Vice President Richard B. Cheney
Articles of impeachment exhibited by the House of Representatives of the United States of America in the name of itself and of the people of the United States of America, against Richard B. Cheney, Vice President of the United States of America, in maintenance and support of its impeachment against him for high crimes and misdemeanors.

Article I: States the Cheney deliberately deceived and endangered the US by lying about the existence of WMDs in Iraq.
Article II: States that Cheney deliberately deceived and endangered the US by lying about an alleged relationship between Iraq and Al Qaeda.

The Vice President subverted the national security interests of the United States by setting the stage for the loss of more than 3,300 United States service members; the losss of 650,000 Iraqi citizens since the U. S. invasion; the loss of approximately $500 billion in war costs which has increased our federal debt; the loss of military readiness within the United States Armed Services due to overextension, lack of training and lack of equipment; the loss of United States credibility in world affairs; and the decades of likely blowback created by the invasion of Iraq.

Article III: States that Cheney -- in violation of the oath he took at his inauguration -- has made serious threats against Iran for no reason, thus undermining our national security. (Remember that Iran began coalition-building in South America when the threats of invasion started getting more aggressive. It's a 3 day swim across the Gulf and into Texas from Venezuela and Nicaragua.)
In all of this, Vice President Richard B. Cheney has acted in a manner contrary to his trust as Vice President, and subversive of constitutional government, to the prejudice of the cause of law and justice and the manifest injury of the people of the United States.

Help defeat the Empire! Please, call or email your congressperson asking them to support Kucinich's effort to impeach Cheney. You can find their name and contact info here.

This is still getting just almost total blackout in the MSM. I knew the media was in corporate pockets, but maybe I have understimated the power of Cheney...I mean, hardly a whimper. I think we're seeing the true color of some Democrats, too...I mean, is anybody supporting this at all? Reading the articles, it's a clear-cut case. Cheney committed treason, over and over. WTF's going on???

I don't know, Joe. It's truly frightening. I think the point behind a28 (tomorrow) is to get as many people as possible out and making a spectacle in order to show support for the bringing out the articles of impeachment and to drum up some press.

They barely covered the Senate aprroval that went through establishing a timeline in Iraq. I think the entire MSM needs to re-evaluate their priorities or step down. Fourth estate, indeed!

You and I are going to get along just fine, my friend!

Power to the People!

Joec is correct in that the Democrats are showing their true colors, and that's yellow. When was the last time we saw such an inept and disorganized bunch.

Pelosi is to busy patting herself on the back at being the first female speaker, and is doing nothing to organize the Democrats in the house.

The same for Reid in the senate. What the two of them are great at is beating their own drums, along with the rest of Democrats.

Gunfighter -- Welcome! Power to the People! I look forward to exchanging ideas.

Pelmo -- Yellow IS the color. I am so sick and tired of it. When the Republicans call them traitors for wanting to put a flexible timeline on the war -- along with approving another 100+ billion dollars -- they should tell the Republicans:

"Look, you guys messed up with 9/11, you've messed up with expenditures, organization and strategies. You clearly are in a phase of cmplete military incompetence. We're taking over."

But no! They chiken out on this just like everything else, I suppose they figure it's politically expedient. I think it owuld be politically expedient for them to do what we elected them to do. No more namby-pamby, wishy-washy bullshit!

Aarrrggh...

That is what's known as "pretend", or what Mr. Roger's referred to as "The Land of Make Believe".
